  • Healthy Steps Nutrition (HSN) Nutrition Coach

Amanda, the newest addition to the coaching team, is a Texas girl with a heart for people and a passion for healthier living. She is committed to reinforcing positive lifestyle habits for long-term, sustainable well-being.

She began her fitness journey in 2016 with an early emphasis on weight-loss and macro dieting. She spent several years at various CrossFit gyms emphasizing proper form, and slow growth. Throughout her exercise experimentation, she has grown a deeper understanding of the intimate connection between the mind, the body, and the energy needed to supply both.

With her unique perspective on health and an HSN (Healthy Steps Nutrition) education and certification, Amanda brings a qualified and relatable approach to her clients seeking a lifetime solution to nutrition. She is a mother of three young kiddos and is thrilled to be a part of the 3Q Fitness Tribe and Coaching Team.

Amanda’s “WHY”

The core reasons I have a passion for coaching (specifically when it comes to nutrition) are based a lot around my own personal fitness and nutrition journey. When I first found CrossFit in 2016, I was a few months post-partum with my second baby, and severely overweight. At 5’3” and 22 years old, I was seeing a whopping 225 pounds on the scale. My confidence was non-existent, I coped with the ins and outs of daily life with junk food and could barely walk in a straight line without my knees caving – not to mention the aches and pains that had become “normal.”

Needless to say, I was at the perfect starting point for a life change. My coach believed in me more than I believed in myself and never let me forget the strength she saw inside of me. I had no baseline for nutrition education, and thought you had to only eat salad and constantly feel hungry in order to lose weight. It felt unattainable, but my coach knew differently. She walked me through learning how to move the way my body was designed to, as well as, taught me how to reinforce what I was learning inside the gym with what I was fueling my body with and just how important it is to do so.

Over the course of a year and a half, I lost 85 lbs and gained confidence, passion for life, and strength (both physically and mentally). I felt like I finally found the thing that set me free from the trap I couldn’t get out of. I know that none of that would have been possible without my coach. Now I want people to experience the freedom I’ve found and see just how attainable their seemingly unreachable goals are. I want to be the coach for others that my coach was for me. The connection to the solution to life-long freedom.

Fad diets will always come and go, but I want to share with others that it doesn’t have to be complicated and stressful to truly fuel your body and see the results they have been looking for. I want others to develop a healthy relationship with food and not be caught up in all the restrictions that diet culture has engrained in our society. I love that HSN pairs all of the things that drive me with the education to meet each client exactly where they are and equip them with what they need. I know that no two clients are created equal and even though my personal journey has built my foundation, there are still so many tools to learn to best serve each client. I am eager to learn and share these tools and look forward to building some great relationships along the way.  #CannotOutTrainYourFork
